Sanibel Island: West Gulf Drive

West Gulf is mainly residential on the north, with hotels and resorts on the south side.

West Gulf Beach Access

These access points lead to some quiet beaches, away from most of the beachcombing crowds.  There are seven numbered access points, all with restricted car parking (residents only), and some with bike racks.  The beach access points are past the end of the bike trail on West Gulf, but this section of West Gulf is lightly travelled and you should have no problem riding a bike in the main part of the road.

On the trail:
On West Gulf Drive, continue west past Rabbit Road (where the bike path heads north).
